Art, For Arts’ Sake, at April 28 Art4Smarts Benefit Auction for WSSD

by Chris Reynolds

Dozens of talented and generous artists have donated works to help fund the arts through the Foundation for Wallingford-Swarthmore Schools. Guests at the Foundation’s “Arts4Smarts” art auction on Saturday, April 28 at the Community Arts Center in Wallingford will enjoy wine, cheese and music as they bid on works by prominent artists and crafters, including students and teachers at the schools.
The soiree starts at 7 PM in the Duke Gallery of CAC’s grand mansion at 414 Plush Mill Road. Refreshments include cheese and crudités from the Swarthmore Co-op and a wine tasting by Moore Brothers Wine Co. Tickets are $25 in advance through http://arts4smarts.eventbrite.com and $30 at the door. Proceeds from the silent and live auction benefit the Foundation, a nonprofit organization which supports innovation in the arts, technology and academic programs in the Wallingford-Swarthmore School District.
